This series poses a simple, provocative question - it tackles the visual rape of the subject by the photographer's camera.

While celebrities might claim that the world revolves around them, that haute couture moves at their very whim, they remain, all too often, at the photographer's mercy. They are objectified, wantonly shot, and should the photographer will it, discarded. Models wear clothes - but just as often, the clothes wear them, drowning out their personalities, turning them into little more than props, moving mannequins.

It is at the whim of the photographer that celebrities bask only in their prettiest sides, that models are more than the Guccis and Pradas they wear. It is this intercourse with the camera, with the photographer as voyeur, that pays its homage to girls on film. Yet, one might wonder if this is rape, when the photographer coerces them into a predefined mould, a personal vision, a unique... style.

What happens then, when the photographer turns the finder towards an unwilling target? Under the harsh lights of this studio, that tension plays itself out, a game of sado-masochism, of dominator and the dominated.
